This policy explains what happens to your content and your data when you use Pangram AI Detector, in plain language.
We built Pangram around one simple rule: your content passes through our server only for as long as it takes to run a scan, and nothing longer.
Text you paste is sent directly to our AI-detection provider for analysis and is not written to disk on our server. Once the result is returned to your browser, the text is discarded from server memory.
When you upload a document, our server reads the text out of it in memory, sends that text for analysis, and does not keep a saved copy of the uploaded file.
Our image detector requires a public link to the image you're scanning. To make that possible, your uploaded image is saved to a temporary folder on our server just long enough to run the scan — typically a few seconds — and is then automatically deleted, whether the scan succeeds or fails.
Like most websites, our server automatically logs basic technical information for security and reliability — things like IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. This is standard web server behavior and is not tied to the content of any scan you run.
We use a short-lived session to remember your scan result long enough to display it to you and to run our anti-bot verification code. This session data is temporary and is not linked to any personal identity.
Pangram uses a third-party AI content detection API to analyze the text and images you submit. That request is limited to the content being scanned — we don't pass along your name, email, or any other identifying information as part of a scan request.
We use a minimal session cookie required for the site to function correctly (for example, to keep your anti-bot verification code valid between page loads). We don't use tracking or advertising cookies.
Pangram is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Because we don't retain your scanned content or maintain user accounts, there's generally nothing stored for us to delete on request. If you have a specific privacy concern, reach out and we'll look into it directly.
